The literal translation for the title is installing a PWA (Progressive Web Apps) in Chrome**, but the majority of the non-technical audiences appear to be unaware of this feature.
People were asking me how did I create a "desktop app" for some websites I regularly visit or what is the app in the screenshot:
It's actually called Progressive Web App aka PWA and it's a pretty new feature that rolled out just recently.
You can create one for yourself with zero technical knowledge in a few steps.
- Open Chrome (or Chromium forks) browser on your desktop.
- Load a site in Chrome where you want to create an "app"
- Open Menu > More tools > Create shortcut...
- Tick the checkbox before clicking Create.
After the creation, an app will appear on your desktop and start menu as a shortcut.
Enjoy a progressive web app!
